Low maintenance
Turf & Low-Maintenance Yards
Lush low-maintenance turf, laid out with the hardscape instead of around it. Porcelain or concrete steppers set in the turf, turf ribbons between pavers, and clean gravel borders — a yard that looks finished and doesn't need mowing.

Pricing
How we price it
Turf is a custom quote — the yard is measured and priced as a job. Steppers, pavers and porcelain are priced by the square foot, the same as the rest of our flatwork; the porcelain itself is your pick and priced separately.
Every job is measured on site and gets a written scope with the price. The estimate is free.
Priced by the unit
Per-foot and per-square-foot prices are on our pricing page. Your job is measured and priced line by line.
Questions
Common questions
Why turf instead of grass?
No mowing, no fertilizer, and much less water. It stays green year-round, which makes it a common pick for yards that get used but don't get babied.
What are turf ribbons?
Strips of turf set between pavers or porcelain slabs, so the patio reads as a grid of stone and green instead of one solid surface. It softens a big patio and lets some water through.
Can you put steppers in the turf?
Yes — porcelain, paver or concrete steppers. Porcelain and concrete steppers get a concrete base so they stay level as the turf settles around them.
Do you install the turf yourselves?
Ask us when you call. We'll tell you how the turf part of your job gets done and put it all in one written scope with the hardscape.
What about drainage under turf?
Turf lets water through, but the ground underneath still has to drain. We grade it and add drains where water would sit, so it doesn't puddle or run toward the house.
